Ready for a great winter-to-springtime fashion accessory that will have you on trend and cozy? Well, I have something new for you today!
It’s a design that I created especially for Make and Do Crew but, now, I get to share it with you here. The Venus Shrugged Bolero jacket is one of those accessories that will become a staple in your handmade wardrobe.
It’s so quick to make with Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick and a 10 mm hook that you just might have to make one in every color!
Neutrals work great for everyday-wear and you could work one up in my favorite WET&Q color, Fig, for extra pop of color when you’re feel like kicking it up a notch.
Venus Shrugged Bolero
Designed for sizes Women’s XS to 5XL, no matter your particular needs, I’ve got you covered.
This accessory is designed using simple stitches in a way that makes it look oh-so complicated, but it’s not! If you can front-post double crochet or back-post double crochet, you’re ready to start this project today!
As an adventurous beginner, you might even learn a new stitch, the crab stitch or reverse single crochet, that creates a lovely textured border detail between the basketweave and the ribbing.
Once you’re done working up this simple rectangle, follow the schematics to sew the sleeve seams, tuck your ends, and you’re ready to take your new bolero out on the town or gift it to someone you love.
