Ready for a great winter-to-springtime fashion accessory that will have you on trend and cozy? Well, I have something new for you today!
It’s brand new, free crochet pattern, that I created especially for Make and Do Crew. The Venus Shrugged Bolero jacket is one of those accessories that will become a staple in your handmade wardrobe.
It’s so quick to make with Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick and a 10 mm hook that you just might have to make one in every color!
Neutrals work great for everyday-wear and you could work one up in my favorite WET&Q color, Fig, for extra pop of color when you’re feel like kicking it up a notch.
I’m introducing the design to you here, but you can grab the free pattern over on the Make and Do Crew blog, just click that green button, below.
Venus Shrugged Bolero
Designed for sizes Women’s XS to 5XL, no matter your particular needs, I’ve got you covered.
This accessory is designed using simple stitches in a way that makes it look oh-so complicated, but it’s not! If you can front-post double crochet or back-post double crochet, you’re ready to start this project today!
As an adventurous beginner, you might even learn a new stitch, the crab stitch or reverse single crochet, that creates a lovely textured border detail between the basketweave and the ribbing.
Once you’re done working up this simple rectangle, follow the schematics to sew the sleeve seams, tuck your ends, and you’re ready to take your new bolero out on the town or gift it to someone you love.
Suggested Retail Pricing
If you’re a seller, I always like to take the stress out of selling by provided my pre-calculated suggested retail pricing for whatever market you’re selling to.
Simply refer to the chart and you’re on your way to profits from all your sales of this amazing shrug.
Just remember, it’s really not a best-practice for a business owner to sell to the bargain market. There’s just so little profit in it, that a simple shift in your branding and marketing strategies can grow your profits by targeting the brand-lover’s market.
