Katan Dickie Cowl Crochet Pattern
As I write this, it’s early morning and I’m sitting in my yarn studio on our homestead, Katan Ranch. The sheep are grazing outside the window, the roosters are competing to see who can announce the break of day best (gotta impress those girls, you know), and the skies are unsarcastically grey. There’s even a mist over the trees.
Autumn is truly in the air and I’m feeling motivated to finish preserving the harvest from our garden before the first frost. I’ll be venturing in to the chilly morning dew to gather up the last of the tomatoes and and squash. I’m just grateful that I won’t be too cold wrapped in a polar fleece jacket wearing my own Katan Cowl. This quick-to-make dickie is the perfect accessory for chilly fall mornings and walks in the winter snow.

- US Terminology
- All sts are worked through both loops unless otherwise indicated.
- When a row begins with a CH1, the ch does not count as a st.
- For solid dickie, work in one color. For multi-colored, follow pattern to work colors M, A, B, and C.
- Gauge 3 HDC rows x 4 HDS sts = 2″ sq.
