- 9.00 mm (M/N) Crochet Hook
- Scissors
- Sewing needle

Pattern Notes
- US Terminology
- Sts worked through both loops unless otherwise indicated.
- When a row beg with a CH1, it does not count as a st.
- The main color rounds are worked continuously, without joining, unless otherwise indicated.
- For a striped stocking, finish each round rather than working in continuous rounds. Then, attach new color to center back of stocking and work SCs in each st around. Finish off. Repeat.

Not-So-Mini Christmas Stocking Crochet Pattern Instructions: Step-by-Step Guide
Toe (in color A)
Using a 9.00 mm hook and working into magic circle or 3 CH loop.
Rnd 1: SC 8 into circle or loop. Join with SLST to beg SC. (8 sts)
Rnd 2: (increase) CH1, work 2 SC into the first st and each st around. Join with SLST to beg SC. (16 sts)
Rnd 3: CH1, SC in each st around. (16 sts) End color A. This is center back.
INSTEP (Attach Color M at center back.)
Rnds 4: SC in each st around. Do not join. (16 sts)
Rnds 5 – 7: Repeat rnd 4. (16 sts) End color M.
Heel
(Attach color A 4 sts to the right of center back of stocking)
Row 1: SC in the next 8 sts. CH1, turn. (8 sts)
Row 2: (decrease) SC2TOG, SC in next 4 sts, SC2TOG. CH1, turn. (6 sts)
Row 3: (decrease) SC2TOG, SC in next 2 sts, SC2TOG. CH1, turn. (4 sts)
Row 4: (increase) 2SC in first st, SC in next 2 sts, 2SC in last st. CH1, turn. (6 sts)
Row 5: (increase) 2SC in first st, SC in next 4 sts, 2SC in last st. CH1, turn. (8 sts)
inish off color A leaving a long tail for sewing.
Fold right sides of heal together and whip stitch left and right sides of heel closed. (see images, below)
Stocking
With Color M, attach yarn to 4th st of the back of the heel. (See X in photo above)
Rnd 8: SC in first 4 sts, SC2TOG across next st and corner where heel joins stocking (this space is not really a stitch, we’re just stitching into it in order to create a smoother transition from sock to heel), SC in next 8 sts across front of stocking, SC2TOG across corner where heel joins stocking and 1st st of the heel, SC in each of last 2 sts. Do not join. (16 sts)
Rnd 9: SC in each st around. (16 sts)
Rnds 10 – 16: Repeat rnd 9. Finish off Color M.
Rnd 17: Attach Color A to center back. SC in each st around. (16 sts)
Rnds 18 – 19: Repeat rnd 11, ending in center back, CH5 and secure loop with SLST to same st.
Finish off and tuck all ends.
Embellishment
With a 12″ length of Color A, work the yarn in and out of the sts at the base of rnd 16.
Finish off. Tuck ends.
To Create a 5 Foot Long Bunting
Make 7 stockings in various colors.
I made 3 green, 2 red, and 2 tan.
Chain 32, SC in the top of stocking loop, CH 12, SC in top of next stocking loop, CH 12, SC in top of next stocking loop, CH 12, SC in top of next stocking loop, CH 12, SC in top of last stocking loop, CH 12, SC in top of next stocking loop, CH 12, SC in top of last stocking loop, CH 32. (143 sts)
Finish off.
To make the bunting longer, simply add additional stockings while working the stated chain pattern (12 CH between each stocking).
