    • I used Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick
  • 9.00 mm (US size M/N ) Crochet Hook
  • Sewing Scissors
  • Tapestry Needle
  • Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick or other super bulky yarn

  • ch – chain
  • HDC – half-double crochet
  • Rnd – round
  • sc – single crochet
  • SLST – slip stitch
  • st(s) – stitch(es)

Using a 9.00 mm hook and working into a magic circle (or into a ch3 loop),
Rnd 1: CH2 (counts as HDC here and throughout), HDC 6 into a magic circle, tighten circle and join with a slst. (7 hdc) OR CH3, join with a SLST, CH2, work 6 HDC into this loop. Join with a slst to begin sc. (7 hdc)

Rnd 2: CH2, HDC in same st as beginning ch2, 2 sc in the next st and each st around. Join with SLST to beginning sc. (14 hdc)

Rnd 3: CH2, HDC in next st and each st around. (14 hdc)

Rnds 4 – 7: Repeat Rnd 3

Rnd 8: CH2, HDC in same st as beginning ch2, SLST in next st, 3HDC in next st, SLST in next st, repeat * * until you have 6 shells. In the last 3 sts, SK one st, SLST in the next st, SK one st. HDC in the same st as beginning CH2.

Finish off. Tuck ends.
