Summer’s End Chunky Neck Warmer Crochet Pattern
When I was designing this neck warmer, I wanted it to be the kind of accessory that would feel good to just grab and throw on…no fussing with buttons and no trying to figure out how the whole thing works.
So, instead off adding a bunch of fussy embellishments, I simply tacked the edges down for a grab-and-go finished product that would look great hanging from a hook by the back door AND hanging around your neck.
Made of super chunky yarn, it’s quick to make and oh so gorgeous with its automatic striping. If you don’t like stripes, simply use a solid color yarn of similar gauge. The texture is enough to make a statement!

Summer’s End Chunky Cowl Pattern Instructions
Ch 48. Turn.
Row 1: Sk first 2 sts (counts as SC), DC in next CH, sk next CH, *work SC and DC in next CH, sk next CH,* repeat from * to * until 1 CH remains, SC in last CH, turn. (20 grit st clusters + 1 SC)
Row 2: CH1 (counts as SC), DC in 1st st, sk next DC, *work SC and DC in next SC, sk next DC,* repeat from * to * until 1 st remains, SC in last st (turning CH from previous row), turn.
Row 3 – 60: repeat row 2.
Finish off.
Style as desired, add buttons (optional).
Tuck ends.
